Have anybody a fast fix for this bug

When you log in in a child portal eg www.olsmar.com/elit
and there have a link to the main portal www.olsmar.com
    it results in an error.
(doesent get an error if it is a child with a own domain )

Would be very happy for a fix on this due to its not so good when all child users gets error when they try to go to the main site.

    Thanks in advance.

It would be more helpful if you mentioned what error you were getting and what are the exact steps to reproduce this.
Maybe I can try it on www.olsmar.com/elit (what link would it be - sorry, but I cannot read the language it is in :-) )?

At the moment we have our hands full of sorting through the buglist (which is full of not very clear error descriptions if I may say so...), so if we can spend as less time as possible to guess what the problem could be that would be great :-)

I just tried to recreate this on my test site and couldn't. Added a link control to http://test.cta-racing.com and added an external link back to http://www.cta-racing.com and it worked like a charm. I also tried to do an internal link back but, of course, couldn't.

    Geert

I understand your problem. Thought someone knew the bug needed a fast fix.
I can reproduce the error on two sites.

    Jan,

I can remember seeing another thread on this (just cannot remember what thread it was anymore).

But it was about the PersonalizationController and child portals. Tried a search but nothing came up.

    OKi Geert,
    found similar problems in
    http://www.asp.net/Forums/ShowPost.aspx?tabindex=1&PostID=537876

But it does not fix it :-)

I havent looked into that part of the code so I prefer not to do some try and error :)

I posted that problem a while ago and never did get a response.

It happens when a user is logged into a child portal with a url like http://www.myname.com/child.
Then that user tries to access a page in the parent portal http://www.myname.com and is not a registered user of the parent portal the error occurs.

I can offer no fix for this.
