F5/Ctrl F5 now seems to compile and execute the currently selected/open file in a ASP.NET/WS application.

This is great when you're focused on a single file. However, I have a solution with a class library project and a web service project, and when I press F5 it attempts to run the open file even if I'm working on a file in the class library (which it cannot run).

I don't think this behaviour is as useful as the VS.2003 where you could right click a file and set it as the startup regardless of the file being edited.

Also, menu options like "References" are only available if you go and specifically click the project in the Solution Explorer - it does not appear if a file in that project is selected. I would prefer to see such menu options available regardless of the file selected in a project in the Solution Explorer.

    Hi Nick,

We're adding back the support to right click and set a startup page for the solution in the Beta timeframe. We'll still default to running the currently selected page if you don't set it -- but if you do set it (for scenarios like the one above), you'll get the behavior you had in the past.

    Hope this helps,

    Scott

    Great! Best of both worlds.
