I am an asp.net and visual studio.net beginner. My machine is Oracle client 9.2 and I want to make the simple application connect to the server. The error message I get is "Unable to find entry point name OCIEnvCreate in DLL oci.dll". My friend said that I
did not set up the asp.net user. I don't how to setup this user either and have no clue to sole my problem. Please give me any idea. Thanks
Hi, If you use the search facility at the top of the page for OCIEnvCreate , you should be able to find a wealth of information on how to resolve that error. Its been asked many many times in this forum. Cheers, Greg
Usually this is a permission problem with the ASPNET user not having access to read and/or modify files in the ORACLEHOME directory. I have collected some of the links in this
