    Thank you for your comment Pierre.
    I was wrestling with trying to recover data and several output parameters from a stored procedure. I spent quite some time trying to figure this out. Your comment to close the datareader before accessing the parameters did the trick. Nice to have some competent advice avaible.

    You can also capture return values from stored procedures easily by using the SQLCommand.ExecuteNonQuery() method. If this helps you at all, i can post code...
