I've never encountered issues with the forums being slower or difficult to open. There are a few other more robust features that I would love to see similar to many of the other technical forums and Q&A sites like
Stack Overflow and the MSDN Forums (example
of what I am referring to).
The search features can also be often difficult to work with especially if you are looking to search within your own threads (filtering by My Threads would be helpful).
Improved Searching. Improved Statistics on Questioning and Answers. Possible Area for Blogging.
Those are just a few ideas, although I'm not sure how much of this is doable through Neudesic, however I would love to contribute to such a project of an API was available.
So I suggest: It would be possible we can make our forum like http://forums.iis.net, which seems to be very fast to load and reply;)
Actually, we upgraded the IIS.NET Forums to run the same software as the ASP.NET Forums in November 2012. Are there specific pages that are loading slower for you? Specific times of the day?
My suggestion to search within threads you have participated in is to go to the search page (http://forums.asp.net/search), type in your username as the Author Name (Rion Williams), and then enter any other search
criteria. The results will be scoped to just the threads in which you have participated.
I believe I have used that method in the past to try and find some specific threads in the past. I guess for some reason that I was thinking there would be a different way to handle that (but that method is fine by me). I suppose what I was trying
to ask for was a mechanism that could just go and find the thread that I was thinking about without me having to specify any details :)
Thanks again for your response and I look forward to any improvements in the future as I have somehow become quite addicted to this community and I would be glad to help out in any way that I can.
Sometimes I feel it's hard for me to log-in, and even if when I logged in, I found that it was not too easy to reply, because Answer Box (hard to load).

Well I have faced the same situation.. Yes,While Replying Its pretty hard to get the answer-box... and I have to wait for a long time to get the toolbar of the editor to appear..
However Kris has suggested an idea of bringing the toolbar while It is not there.. Simply Press Ctrl+L and wait for the toolbar to appear..
Another thing While replying to the personal Message you would not get toolbar that easy... The condition become more pathetic.. There are times when I have to close the browser to make things work..
You should now find a marked improvement in this performance. If you are still exeprience slowness, even after clearing the browser cache, please let us know.
