I have been observing this thing since long. Finally decided to get it clarified!
I posted new thread and received a reply. After few days I saw that it was marked as answer and thread was displayed as resolved. I did not mark any of the replies as answer. So that obviously means it was marked resolved by moderators.
I don't understand the reason behind this. Do they actually verify if it's a real working solution and then mark it as answer! If that's the case then no issues, otherwise
.
So that obviously means it was marked resolved by moderators.
That's not a correct assumption. The members with MSFT on the end of their names and Microsoft badges are repsonsible for "clearing up" unresolved threads after several days of inactivity.
Pengzhen Song - MSFT provided a solution to your thread on the 21st January, and then marked the solution as an answer on the 25th, leaving a new post
explaining that you can unmark it if it is not satisfactory. If it is not satisfactory, you can post another reply explaining how it doesn't resolve your issue so other members can provide further assistance.
Obviously it is preferable for members who ask questions to mark the thead, but a lot of the time, they never come back once they have a working answer. However, memebrs always have full control over the Mark As Answer feature in a thread that they start.
