Make sure that in your references you have CopyLocal = True set on your MySQL reference dll. More than likely the dll is not being included in your publish package.
actually I found why I cant found the copylocal option . it is not present in website project. Now I want the mysql data dll in my bin folder what can I do for it .

I am using mysql database with .net connecter 6.5 in my web application
everything is working fine while developing
but while publishing the getting error as fallows
Error 1 External component has thrown an exception.
and publishing fails
pls give solution on this I got stuck at this

I cant find copylocal option , and when I paste dll in bin folder and publishing it gives following error the samr error

Hi,
you will find the option mentioned above in the "Properties" windows if you select the appropriate DLL.

Hi,
I think you could add a reference to the dll in your web project and it will be automatically copied to your bin folder.
