My host provider recently upgraded to asp.net 4.5 and my site running kentico 6 on asp.net 3.5 suddenly stopped showing charts.
The system has produced a charting error with the system.datavisualization.charting namespace and a web.config reference to the handler.
My host provider suggested I investigate compatibility issues between asp.net 3.5 and 4.5 in the charting.axd handler - has anyone come across this yet?
thanks all. morgz.

Would you please advise the error message you see on your end? Please be advised that upgrading the ASP.NET version should not cost you your website. I suspect that your current host is still using the older Windows Server version and when they tried to upgrade
to ASP.NET 4.5 version, they fail to tweak the server
I would recommend you to discuss the issue with them directly. Ask them whether they can shift your site to the other server, which has the same specs. Otherwise, I believe it is better for you to look for the other hosts
Please mark this response as an "answer" if it helps you. Thanks heaps!

It seems that .Net 4.5 isn’t supported in Kentico 6 from current information. You should install Kentico CMS 7 for .Net 4.5, you could learn this information below,
Kentico Announces Support for Microsoft Visual Studio 2012 and .NET 4.5 in Kentico CMS 7
Sorry for the issues that you are hitting.
