I opened this report with visual studio 2010 CR tools (version 13 ), edited it and saved it, of course it will ask you to save in the new version format.
can I still be able to run it (not modify the rpt itself just generate the report normally) with CR 8.5 viewer? (CR Professional 8.5). Thanks

Once you save a Crystal Report in a certain version, you will not be able to go back to an earlier version, including the viewer for that version.
Note that you can get the latest viewer for CR 2011 and it should be able to view any version of report, including 8.5 (though this is probably at its limits).

Thanks, I have another question, if I created or edited an rpt file using vs 2010 crystal report I think its , how I will be able to view in the customer ? through crystal report viewer? and if yes which version. Thanks

Can you clarify what you mean by "customer"? Note that the intent of CR in VS is to provide reporting to your .NET application, so viewing of your report would typically be handled programmatically.
