Have a nice day.
i am using ms sql server 2008 and it is using port 1433 and my site is working good.
In my windows server 2008 R2 have all latest patches installed and i have configuured all security software and antivirus.
One of IT person told to Manager that as port 1433 is open your system is on fire and hackers now can easily access it. Because port 1433 is big problem.
As my friend give comments, that hacker can attack , his statement let me think to clear the Database security, so i am writing here.
Now how others hosting companies are providing sql server database? why hacker not accessing them only i am has problem.
Please some one talk about port 1433 or 1434 how it react and what is its scope, how to secure it, is it true? that ms sql server port always has problem.

We cannot answer you such a question and what has caused the problem may be of many reasons：for e.g：Your company is of worth things for them such as business secret things……
So we should solve that problem as soon as possible:
1) Please download all the packages for SQL Server to fix the problem by enabling Windows Update.
2) Please install your ForeFront or other firewalls that can avoid being attacked by Hackers.
3) If possible, you can change your IP port, but I don't think that a good way, because Hacker can still make programs to find out your port if there's some bug or you haven't fixed the bug from the Microsoft official website;s upgrate packages.
