I have website (IIS7) that set up for Windows Authentication w HTTP 401 Challenge. So most of the users get either prompted to login or set up automatic login in the Security / Internet Zone setting and get authenticated seamlessly and this works fine
for them. The problem is that some users in the same domain and same IE8 browser geting "401 Unauthorized: Access is denied... " and any attempt to set Security -- Internet zone to "Prompt user name and password" did not help so far - the user does not
get prompt, just get 401 .. message when url pointed to the web site. I assume it somewhere in Browser setting, just not sure where it is, any advise appriciated. Thanks.
