The other options do not work at all to begin with, the Compact 4.0 version does
at least work inside of Visual Studio 2012 - and the connection to the SQL Server and also the database turns successful.
Yet, no matter what I try I am persistently getting the "login failed for the user" error, if I even try to connect to the database with Firefox.
The best I can get out of it is an empty page in Firefox, and that only when the "database=" part has no value assigned in the
connection string.
I have also tried Visual Studio 2010 with SQL Server 2008 and I am experiencing the same problem.
The SQL Server is such a shatter, it is such a shatter.
Though, nevertheless, Visual Basic is a cool programming language which I like, yet it is a tragedy that it is failing at the SQL Server, and I do not even have alternative options.

You can try the Express DB, which is good, stable to use.
Recently, I have tried "SQL connect" surprisinly I am getting the same error message as soon as clicking on
"test connection".
I will now re-install Windows 7, so I can install Visual Studio 2010 Professional (SP 1) on a newely installed operating system.
I have also tried installing RavenDB through the Console, where the installation has been
reported successful - though RavenDB was not accessable through the menu options.
