i got my first comment ... it's obviously spam because weight loss has little to nothing to do with ASP.NET.
my settings allow only registered members to comment ... so i'm guessing this spammer has bothered to register.
i could simply delete the comment, BUT i'd like to report the weblog spammer.
how do i that for comments that are in my awaiting moderation queue?

P.S.: i've deleted that comment but have saved the particulars locally in case you need them.

Unfortunately the weblogs attract a LOT of spammers. My best suggestion, until we roll out the replatformed weblogs site in a few months, is to change your settings so that all comments must be approved before appearing on the site. Alternately, you could
adjust the spam threshholds.
No: allow anonymous users to comment <=== please see "QUESTION", below.
All comments require approval
Yes: allow comments
Yes: allow tracking
none: day limits (always allow)
Yes: allow ratings
QUESTION: what is the "site-wide enable anonymous posting setting"?
N.B.: the mouse over help for "allow anonymous (not logged in) users to post comment" states that this setting will be overridden
if the site-wide setting isfalse.

so, basically, if understand this correctly, because of my setting to not allow anonymous postings, with the site-wide setting the reverse of my setting, then it follows that the person who posted is likely a member.
i saved the person's information before deleting the spam comment ... would you like me to forward that to you?

No, there are way too many spammers to handle individually. We are upgrading the platform for weblogs in the next couple of months. After that we'll take a step back and evaluate the spammer situation.
