occassionally, in my case, either i'm spastic, hitting Entry twice, or there's some latency that fails to prevent me from being spastic, or both.
when this occurs, i simply use "Alert Moderators" and ask them to remove my duplicate post.

Thanks for the report and taking the time to post your repro steps.
I couldn't repro this in IE9 following your steps. I do believe that there is some sort of issue, but we've not been able to repro. We have nearly 1000 posts every day on the site, and only see this dupe problem maybe a few times per month. It may have
something to do with specific browser plugins, but it's hard to say.
3. Alt-A-g to bring up Google from Favourites. Run a google search.
4. Ctrl-tab to switch tabs.
5. Select Reply. Type stuff. Tab to tags key and submit form with Enter key.
I was interupted while typing this post. I did a Ctrl-T to open a new tab. Then I used the favourites menu from the keyboard to bring up an internal page, and closed the tab with Alt-F4. Let's see how often this post appears.

Does anyone know what causes this? There is an example in this thread.
http://forums.asp.net/p/1858131/5208160.aspx/1?p=True&t=634883163943210882
My actions, with IE9, were:
Type some stuff into the textarea.
Use Ctrl-tab to switch to another tab. Do some stuff in that tab.
Use Ctrl-tab twice to get back to original tab.
Use tab key to shift focus to the tags text box.
Use enter key to submit form.

I'm too lazy to hit Enter twice. If it were my application doing this, I'd be embarrassed.

I managed to do it again with similar keystrokes using IE 9. This is the thread: http://forums.asp.net/p/1858857/5211275.aspx/1?p=True&t=634885740334386786
This time the actions were:
1. Read the post.
2. Ctrl-tab to switch tabs.
3. Alt-A-g to bring up Google from Favourites. Run a google search.
4. Ctrl-tab to switch tabs.
5. Select Reply. Type stuff. Tab to tags key and submit form with Enter key.
