i updated my weblogs.asp.net image and saved that profile ...
i'm wondering whether that caused my forums.asp.net profile signature to be over-written ???

The signatures across the sites are stored in the same place...so changing the signature at wegblogs.asp.net has the efect of also changing it at forums.asp.net.
if "signatures across the sites are stored in the
same place" and i did not change
my signature @ weblogs.asp.net,
thenwhydid my signature change ?????
Please note: the ONLY thing that i changed at weblogs.asp.net was my
avatar ... i changed my avatar from a default graphic that i saw at
http://weblogs.asp.net/ in the list of ASP.NET WEBLOGS to my picture that i have been using here at
forums.asp.net.
thnx/gerry
P.S.: to change my avatar to my picture at weblogs.asp.net, from the
menu above my article, at the right end of the menu, i clicked the "Edit Profile" link; i next clicked the "Avatar" tab, browsed to the image
on my local drive, clicked [ update ] and clicked the
[ Save ] button.

i've discovered that this in nottrue ...
(a) today, i changed my telephone number at forums.asp.net ... i clicked to dropdown list at the top of the screen, selected the
Edit Profile link, and continued to change and save the
telephone number in my profile.
The Wasage Beach telephone number is showing as part of my signature ...
Wasaga Beach is where i currently live.
(b) next, at via
http://weblogs.asp.net/gerrylowry, i cicked Edit Profile ... at that link, i checked my signature and discovered that it is
different ... the telelphone number, which is the part of my
weblogs.asp.net profile signature is my previous telephone number.
Terri, i think that this proves conclusively that the signatures across the sites are
notstored in the
same place.
Terri, i do think it's important to have a single profile storage location.
Regards,
Gerry

signature has been reverted to previous version?
Nov 10, 2012 08:08 PM|LINK
i'm not sure why this happened ... i can think of two possibilities:
(a) an error at forums.asp.net ??????????
(b) i've created my first post here: http://weblogs.asp.net/gerrylowry
i noticed that my post here http://weblogs.asp.net/ had a default avatar ...
i updated my weblogs.asp.net image and saved that profile ...
i'm wondering whether that caused my forums.asp.net profile signature to be over-written ???
