In addition to what h.zahed mentioned, you also need to check the checkbox next to"Enable Email Notifications of forum/thread subscriptions and replies to my posts" in that same Email & Password section.

I had thought I had set this at one point a long time ago. Account e-mail preferences was it (I think - I'll know more once I receive an e-mail in reply to a forum post).
