I have a dell inspiron 531s laptop pc running windows 7-home premium, 32-bit, cable modem, IE9.
For some reason, just now (9:15PM), a new "User Account", was self-created on my pc. The user is named, "ASP.NET". Is this normal, for some reason or malicious?? Advice?
I am not in a network. I am the only user of this desktop pc.
Hello mbanavige, Thanks so much for your fast reply. I see you're also a moderator. Thanks for your time. Ironically, after posting this (above), I found this same article, as well. However, my concern is whether or not the article (or post) applies
to me or not. As I checked the list of installed programs and it doesn't have Microsoft. NET Framework 1.1 listed. From previously, it still has Framework 4.0 listed (past several months). The only thing I can associate as far as installing when this occurred
was Adobe Acrobat (uninstall and reinstall).
Based on the above, does it sound like this post (link) still applies, in this case?
