Was it your thread that was updated, or your answer on another thread that was possibly "stolen"? If it is your thread and an answer has been incorrectly/arbitrarily chosen as the solution then there will be a link in the header section for that answer
called "Mark as not answer" - if you click that (check in case there have been more than one answer marked) it will reopen the question. If someone has "stolen" your answer, then there is a "Report Abuse" link where you can notify the moderators of this.
If you reopen a question you will need to watch it to make sure it doesn't get closed again - I have had a question with an answer that is bad IT practice, but which has been closed down 2, 3 or 4 times and which I keep having to reopen.
