I have come across this several times and it drives me absolutely nuts. Not sure why it happens, but sometimes when I look at the code of a webconfig file, webpage or css page all the script appears in one line.
The page genrually loads and I tend work around, but it makes for a nightmare when editing anything. Seems to happen randomly, not sure why or how it happens, which is why I am posting hear.
you should first check in the Visual Studio options menu if this behavior is defined in the source code formatting. After that you should check if you have any add-ins which provides this functionality.
Regards.

I didnt realise it was an option. Now typically I am struggling to find a page where this problem exists, although next time it does I should be able to nail it,, thanks. Any idea why you might want this functionality? Cheers
I have unanswered this post because this issue is causing me no end of problems. Perhaps if I knew what the function was for or what it was called I might be able to research some more. thanks
