PURPOSE:
To assist in the maintenance and development of web applications used throughout the organization and externally by our members. Position will assist in the training and support to end-users on internally developed and commercially purchased software. Position
will also be responsible for assisting in the maintenance of technical documentation for new and existing systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Demonstrates support of corporate values, mission and vision. Performs job duties within these standards and in accordance with the guidelines of our bylaws and regulations.
Assist in all phases of the development cycle including the planning, development, testing, implementation and maintenance of applications.
Code web applications according to specifications.
Assist systems administrators, Desktop Technicians and IT Operations staff to provide technical support on developed software and applications to credit union personnel and members.
Assist in executing performance and security tests on new and existing software for the purposes of measuring efficiency, correcting mistakes, identifying areas for improvement, and eliminating security concerns.
Prepare and present information on the status of web development projects to eBusiness members and sometimes credit union staff.
Assist in the development and maintenance of user manuals and guidelines including operating and technical documentation for eBusiness web applications.
Assist in the review and evaluation of existing workflows and process within departments to determine efficiencies and areas for improvement.
Prepare tests applications for monitoring web performance and provide performance statistics and reports.
As required, function as a liaison with third-party vendors and service providers.
Conduct research on Web services products and tools and evaluate and recommend products for purchase and implementation.
Contribute to effective department and Credit Union operations by performing other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Associates Degree or any combination of education and experience which would provide the qualifications for the position.
Two years experience in web application development. Experience with high volume e-commerce sites a major plus.
Experience in a Software Development Life Cycle methodology, including all phases of analysis, design, development, implementation and maintenance.
Understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
Strong hands-on experience resolving technical issues, including analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
Knowledge in programming languages and object oriented design required.
One to two years experience with the .Net environment preferably C# but VB.NET ok as long as there is an interest in coding vb.net. Proficient understanding of HTML and CSS is imperative.
Needs to be skillful in SQL and comfortable with SQL Server 2005.
Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to present ideas and concepts to users of all technical levels.
Understanding and appreciation of the organization’s goals and objectives.
Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
