The background color of the quote is actually different. It's a bit darker - but that difference is subtle. Although i can see the difference, It may be that the color difference is subtle enough that not all displays are capable of clearly showing it.
Perhaps an even darker background color for quotes could be adopted.
The color whiteSmoke isn't much different from white. Me too cannot see the difference clearly, may be because my eyes are not good. Personally I find the quoted text from the indent change and the little icon above the quote text, not from the background
color. So me too thinks it's better if we have something like little more dark grayish. Just my feedback on this.
With that in place I can see your example like this:
For me this makes it more readable. The first part is for the prettyprint and makes it clearer to for me to see where I'm inserting code (a trick Mike introduced).

Changing IE CSS rules definitely gives the POST more readable format. But, I go with the hkbeer, Ruchira to give bit of diffrentiation in color. Not sure but a certain color blindness makes it to distinguish the QUOTE area of post. Whereas, the CSS rules
changes in browser can be as work around. bocz options of different browsers too opens up. So best/better to have a considertation about making the quote text POST color to more of clarity.
I don't have control over the CSS / look & feel of this site. I just posted my personal work around which works perfectly fine in IE for me. If it can help others out doing the same that's great, if it doesn't help simply forget about it.

Thanks for this. But honestly, I think making the distinction should rest with the site not on our IE... for example,
I do not know any CSS. Then, we have left with no options...
Thanks. I will try to credit the ones who helped but most important is we really do sincerely thanks to all who have helped.

Hi,
in IE you can add extra CSS rules for accessibility. These are the ones I incorporated for these forums to make things more clear:
body#tinymce pre.prettyprint { border: 1px solid #ddd!important; background-color:#fefefe!important; padding:5px!important; } .comment-right-col blockquote { border: 1px solid #333!important; }With that in place I can see your example like this:
For me this makes it more readable. The first part is for the prettyprint and makes it clearer to for me to see where I'm inserting code (a trick Mike introduced).

The post also seems to me for a rating.
