I'm not sure where to post this. I have only really noticed this issue when trying to view/comment out a GridView. If I am editing a page in VS and decide to either comment out a GridView or have one commented out and scroll down the page to view it, VS
locks up and does not unfreeze. I have to Force Quit VS and re open it. Anyone have similar issues or know what I should do about this?
I have been coming across this issue again. This time I'm only commenting out plain text on the .aspx page. Nothing special, just static text. I can't even open up that website in VS to edit it. Anyone have ideas?
I think it's a problem with your Visual Studio installation. Can you uninstall and install it again? And also, where did you get the copy from? Make sure the installation file is not corrupted too.
I used the repair tool thinking it would have been quicker then a full install. It was not. Anyways, I'm going to monitor it and will get back to you with result after testing.
So I ran the repair tool, still crashed VS when commenting out code. Then I did a fresh install of VS and delete all the files/settings I could find for VS 2010 and it still is crashing. I'm at a loss.

Issue was never resolved. I ended up uninstalling it and installing VS2012.
