Hello.
I always here people talking about Moving from web forms to MVC while some prfere staying with web forms. My question is Does Microsoft have any plan to stop develping web forms soon? And are there many people who still prefer web forms?
Thanks!

Dr Steve My question is Does Microsoft have any plan to stop develping web forms soon?
No. Web forms will be around for quite some time to come.
In the words of Scott Guthrie:
The ASP.NET and Visual Studio teams are investing heavily in both Web Forms and MVC. Neither is going away.

Hi,
It is clear to me that MVC is just another tool in a developers belt and not the next evolution of web development.
There are still projects that have me reaching for web forms and some that just suit MVC more.
Would seem silly to stop developing a tried and trusted solution such as web forms, even given that you can use them in an mVC project or vice versa.

I´m thinking about this recently because it seems to me that the new certifications have abandoned the web forms in favor of MVC.
Going to be deprecated on July 31 2013:

New web certifications:
