When replying to a thread it is really difficult to get a feel for the code im replying to when it is in the tiny 6 line window and I have to scroll up and down to ensure I responded to all the users comments.
I have reported this before but I was told "just use the gripper to change the window size". Now that I have come to check this it seems the person that told me this must have thought I was referring to the "message" rich text box rather then the view of
the persons post that I am replying to.
I would prefer to see the whole reply without scrolling but if you are against this please at least give me 20 lines or some larger number so I can see the context of the post i'm replying to.
Post Code Bug
I have noticed that when I post a second (or additional) code item in the reply that the modal popup textbox is not being cleared and will still have the contents of the last code paste in it.
you're right about that and I guess indeed the person you got the reply from thought it was about the reply window which can indeed be adjusted in size.
I made a proposal in the past and got to hear in this thread: http://beta-forums.asp.net/t/1651226.aspx?Why+does+the+asp+net+forum+fail+so+much+lately+,
that it'll get into the forums. Having a simple reply, ajax style, possibility needs less postbacks to the server and also doesn't need to (re)size the rest of the thread/posts. Thus resulting in less scrolling up and down in a 6 lined window as it's now with
the current beta.

Thanks for the follow-up, Matt. That was indeed what we understood from your report. I've now logged this as "Not enough of the original message shows when posting a reply" for design review, which will be after we go live.

Thanks for the report. Looks like this is only happening in FF, not IE or Chrome. I now have this logged.

It has taken a while, but we do now have the fix for this issue deployed on the site.
