How to run .sql files from Visual Studio? I want to have a separate project (what kind of?) where I store .sql-files and then be able to click on them as choose "Run" or something similar to be able to run the code agains a predefined SQL Server.

open visual studio--> opent he project--->click on Data tab up in the panel--->transact sql--->new query connecion--> give ur connection it will automatically a file with .sql...where u can type ur queries
u will get the option for running...when the .sql file opens....a green button
