The embed code provided by the video player used widely on this website has stopped working.
As a result, many thousands of web pages, on which users of this website have embedded videos from this website, now display a blank white box instead of the video player. Also, it's now impossible to embed videos from this website using the embed code provided
by the player.
So, there are two distinct problems here.
Existing players embedded using the code provided have stopped working.
To reproduce the problem, hover your mouse cursor over the arrow on the right of the player's control bar, choose the "Share" option, and click on the "Embed" tab. The embed code provided there does not work. (I managed to get it to work
on my blog where it had stopped working, by tweaking some parameters, so presumably the Silverlight app now required params which it previously did not.)

BUG: Video player embed code has stopped working
Aug 03, 2010 11:45 AM|LINK
The embed code provided by the video player used widely on this website has stopped working.
As a result, many thousands of web pages, on which users of this website have embedded videos from this website, now display a blank white box instead of the video player. Also, it's now impossible to embed videos from this website using the embed code provided by the player.
So, there are two distinct problems here.
Example: the video player on this popular ASP.NET MVC quick-start demo page.
To reproduce the problem, hover your mouse cursor over the arrow on the right of the player's control bar, choose the "Share" option, and click on the "Embed" tab. The embed code provided there does not work. (I managed to get it to work on my blog where it had stopped working, by tweaking some parameters, so presumably the Silverlight app now required params which it previously did not.)
Can this be fixed please?
Many thanks!
