    Hello,

We have a HMC v 3.5 and RUS has been run. We have fixed the problems regarding DL's in ADSIEdit (ShowInAddressBook), but one of our customers have multiple SMTP-addresses and they still have two problems:

The users made by the customer admin have 7 different logon-domains (name@domain1.com/name@domain2.com etc) when authenticating. Their OAB shows just the users with the first domain.

The second problem is that users that do not have the first domain in their login-name cannot connect to their mailbok with Outlook RPC over HTTP for the first time.

These two problems have a root cause, the OAB (AL/GAL), I guess. Does anyone have a solution for this problem?

    Thanks!

Correct. RUS stamped user's showInAddressBook attribut acording AL/GAL LDAP filer.

Use ADSIEdit to manualy update showInAddressBook attribute for each user. Plus you have to chack an attribute that say what OAB user must use (sorry, I  don't remeber its name) and update it as well. Or you try touse EnsureAddressListStamp procedure.

    Then rebuild OAB.

Thank you, DmitriG. I will try what you say and also make a new test-company and compare users to find the other attribute you mention.

I will let you know if this solves the problem.

The solution seems to be the following:

    1. Use ADSIEdit to manualy update showInAddressBook attribute for each user.

    2. Make all the SMTP-domains Primary once and then set the original domain as Primary (just to leave it as it was).

    3. Rebuild the OAB.

Notes: The msExchUseOAB did not change and I did not have to correct it. And when I look at the AL/GAL (in Exchange System Manager) it does not show all the users, just the users with the original domain, but in OWA all the users are there and the OAB is also correct.

    Thank you, DmitriG Smile

    Enjoy.

ESM shows you "preview" of AL/GAL - how address lists will look like when RUS is running.
