Hi,

I've uninstalled VS2005 from my pc. I forgot to unistall VS2005 Web Application Projects and now when I try to uninstall it , I'm getting the error: 

Unable to get installer types in the C:\ProgramFiles\Microsoft Visual studio 8\Commomn&\IDE\Microsoft.VisualStudio.Web.Application.dll assembly. --> Unable to load one or more of the requested types. Retrieve the LoaderExceptions property for more information.

Pls help. I want to install VS2008 after this. thanks in advance

Well, I think the simplest (not quickest ;-)) would be to install VS 2005 again, in the minimum configuration and then uninstall WAP and subsequently VS 2005.

 Thanks for the reply but that link doesn't address anything abt VS2005 WAP...  I want to knw hw to uninstall it after uninstalling VS2005 coz I've already uninstalled VS2005 before WAP

Did you install Visual Studio 2005 Web Application Project add-in or Visual Studio 2005 sp1 to support ASP.NET web application?

If it is former one, can you see an item named "Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Web Application Projects" in Add/Remove Programs control panel? If yes, please remove it.

i get this error when i try to remove it from add/remove programs

I've installed VS2005 and tried to uninstall WAP... but that dint work too.......... i get the same error.........

Any help from microsoft guys??
