     Hi

Intellisense in my copy of Visual Studio 2008 has stopped working completely.

I go to Tools / Options / Text Editor / All Languages and have the following choices

    • Autolist members
    • Parameter information
    • Enable virtual space
    • Apply cut or copy ....
    • Line numbers
    • Enable single click URL navigation
    • Navigation Bar

    all of which are checked.

According to MS I should have 3 check boxes to turn on/off intellisense.  The only place I can find any reference to intellisense is with C# specific and here again, no choices appear for turning on/off intellisense.

What do I need to look for?  Am I missing something in the environment?

I am using Visual Studio 2008, net framework 3.5 sp1 and code using VB with code behind pages.

Thanks and have a nice day.

Not sure why it does'nt show up even after you check those check boxes.

Anyways try resetting the VS seetings, that might help

Tools -> Import and Export Settings -> Reset all settings

     HI

Thanks for your answer.  Reset all the settings.

In the code behind (vb) pages, intellisense works again.  But I have lost all the templates.

I discovered this when I tried to add a new page to test some javascript.  My copy of Visual Web Developer Express still has them.

So, I think something more fundamental is wrong.  I will remove Visual Studio from my machine and reinstall.

If that does not work, I'll find out if my back up by Norton Ghost actually works.

Thanks and have a nice day.
