Hi, I need some recommendations about asp.net 3.5 books for complete beginners. I have a good knowledge of the core .Net framework, but I have never written an asp.net application. Therefore I need a book that assumes the reader has a good knowledge of the core framework but no prior experience with asp.net I am hesitating between these 3 books: Murach's ASP.NET 3.5 Web Programming, Beginning ASP.NET 3.5: In C# and VB, and Beginning ASP.NET 3.5 in C# 2008: From Novice to Professional. If you have read any of these books, please share your experience. Also, if you have other book recommendations, they are welcome. Thanks. Olivier.

Thank you guys for your suggestions. I think I will pick Murach's book, not because it's the best, but because it seems to be the least bad. From what I have observed there doesn't seem to be an asp.net book universally recoginzed by the community as THE book of choice for beginners, probably because there is no consensus as to what basic concepts and practices the novice developer should get familiar with, which is reflected on the different books I looked at. Some books try to include everything but the kitchen sink, while others don't have enough substance. Anyway this is just my observation.

    Again, thank you all.

    Olivier.
