are the processing jobs like order processing, payroll processing,etc  suitable to run in web-base platform?  i was thinking of converting those processing programs which is in window platform to web-base , can asp.net handle it? 

and if  the webserver handle the processing jobs, how is the processing speed and would it affect the speed of accessing the webpage when processing is carry out?

what's the main reason you want to convert an apparently working program to another technology stack? Unless you have very good reasons to make up the cost and the possible introduction to errors while converting I suggest you don't do it.
