I've noticed a couple of times today that when the "My Discussions" page has refreshed itself, occassionally I get a "random" set of threads.  I say random, but I assume they follow some sort of pattern, but either way they aren't threads I have participated in (or even looked at) before.  Here are a couple of examples:-

    http://forums.asp.net/t/1450585.aspx

as you can see, my name isn't on there.  Refreshing the page gets me back to my normal list, but I thought I'd better report the issue.

    Cheers

    MH

Can you let us know the timeframe when you saw this issue?

It happened for the 2nd time a few minutes before I started the thread, it had also happened sometime between 9am (GMT+1) and the thread time, but I can't remember when exactly.

However, immeditately prior to posting this reply I refreshed my discussions page to test it ( http://forums.asp.net/MyForums.aspx ) and it happened again - the list of posts was a single thread http://forums.asp.net/t/1450937.aspx rather than my usual list - this is a new thread?  After the "bad" refresh I opened that thread to confirm that I hadn't seen it before, and then refreshed the myforums page and that time it worked fine (and I have just refreshed it once more prior to hitting the post button and it worked ok again).

I believe that the output caching was being tweaking during that time.  Please post back here if you see this again from this point forward (12a CST or 6p GMT).

Apologies for any inconcenience.  This was part of some performance tweaks (with more coming)

I haven't noticed it happen since then.  Sounds a bit worrying if that was the result of cashing tweaks.....

There is nothing to worry about.  Output caching on the page level when using Community Server cannot be enabled.  This is since Community Server processes every page each request (and the control hierarchy is not so streamlined).  I have some new architecture in development that will separate some of the Community Server controls and UI from the middle tier and data providers.  This will allow output caching of data/presentation at a more granular level.

We are working diligently on it.  However, I do not have a release date for this enhancement.
