In fact in visual studio 2010 wpf will be using (wpf) as their primary window
application. If you care to use custom databases (domain development) you can still do that

By the way you can install silverlight 3 tomorrow expression blend 3(no more beta!!)
however you have to unistall silverlight 2 because
silverlight 1,2, 3 will only be available for vs 2010
