Hi!

I am developing a web service whose response should be sent as an attachment but NOT AS A BYTE ARRAY.  Using "Microsoft.Web.Services.DIME" was possible with VS 2003 but I am using VS 2005, so how can I achieve this, any idea ?

An attachment to what?

Mike, there's a reason for the switch of the WSE link. See ASMX Web Services are a “Legacy Technology”, and consider: if ASMX is now a "legacy technology", and if WSE is based on ASMX, but not even supported in VS2008 or above, then what's that make WSE?

I've been using the word "obsolete" to describe WSE. Any other suggestions on words to use?
