Hi,i have just installed Visual Studio  2005 standard edition(with SP1 update as reqd by vista) on Windows vista home premium edition 64 bit.

I tried to install SQL server 2005 standard edition from the CD.I noticed that it did NOT install the SQL server management studio.Currently all i see after install , under SQL server is MS sql server => cofiguration tools=>SQL server configuration manager and 3 other items.

Does it have anything to do with the fact that SQL server 2005  is 32 bit which i am trying to load on OS 64 bit?How do i install sql server 2005 management studio on my 64 bit vista machine?

SQL Server 2005 comes in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions for the Standard Edition, so I don't think that's the problem. Can you rerun the setup and add Management Studio, or is it not shown at all?

 ok,i was able to install SSMS.I had to turn UAC off for this to get installed however. i can  connect to database engine using Windows authentication as long as UAC is off but if i turn it back on(which is vista default setting )it does not let me connect.Please help.
