I have just installed visual web developer from visual studio 2008 .iso and also installed visual studio 2008 sp1 .I have .net framework 3.5 and i want to know that am i working on asp.net 3.5 or is anything left to install?/. I am in confusion because when i go to www.asp.net/Downloads/essential and click on download visual web developer it still gives me the option to download visual web developer sp1 even though i have installed visual studio 2008 sp1. Can anyone explain what's happening?/ What should i do to have asp.net 3.5?

You dont need to install anything else..

try to use the Visual studio or web develper then if they dont fulfill your demand it will tell you what is missing,

To make it simple, just download the VWD EXPRESS ( offline install) and install it , it will install all the necessary files, .net 3.5 framework, SQL SERVER EXPRESS.... You will need SQL SERVER to create database based applications.
