If the server also has SQL Server express edition, you can directly upload the .mdf file (which is in the app_data folder) to server.

If there is not SQL Server express edition on server, you can attach the database file to SQL Server full edition or create new database on it.

You can also connect to a SQL Server Express Edition database just like you would connect to any SQL Server database by specifying the database server as the local SQL Server Express Edition data source.

from the above tutorials i can understand that we need visual express 2005 (free) to deploy a site.

is there any way to deploy a site without using vswd 2005 and upload to a ftp server.

 Any ideas..

Hi,

Where did you want to load? If you want to deploy it on share host server, you can use host server company's control to upload website. You can ask your host server company for help.
