    Hello Everyone,

    I want to know how to make web browser address bar read only.suppose if there is url like(http://www.peopleforever.org?uid=9)  now i want no body change url make that url readonly is this possible?to make url,address bar readonly.

    I doubt if this is possible using JavaScript. This would definitely hinder the user ... who would want a site that would lock the browser.

    If you want the browser to be dedicated to one website only, I suggest that you check out Prism:

    http://prism.mozilla.com/

    The stand-alone version is essentialy a mini-browser that locks the user to one website by making the addres bar read-only.

    You cannot do that in any browser use sessions isntead to pass values from one page to another so that no one can modify it
