I'm using VS 2005, and I don't understand the difference between creating a New Website and choosing "ASP.Net Web Service" and creating a New Project and choosing "ASP.Net Web Service Application." They seem different. But what is their intended use? Could someone please enlighten me? Thank you.

    Hi,

Micrsoft Visual Studio  is development environment which is used for creating different types of application like you have seen "New Project" ,which is used for creating traditional windows based desktop applications

2.New Website is used for creating website or web application which run on server and user accessess these type of applications using browser.

3.ASP.Net WebService is again type of application which is most used for web data exchange so named as webservices.Apart we have others also which needs time and space to discuss.

so you better choose website or web project first, then you will  next understand others..
