Please help. I can create first level resellers under the Hosting OU  but cannot create sub resellers i.e.

 --Hosting
       gmsl7.com (ok)
            org1.com (ok)
            test1234.com (fails)

 

Here is the exception i get.

The Path looks incorrect arcording to your description. Are you not missing the ou gmsl7.com? something like this? ou=test1234.com,ou=gmsl7.com, ou=Hosting,DC=gms,DC=uk,DC=local

Thanks, it still does not work with that path. Usually you would only specify the Parent OU that the reseller org is being created in. It works if the parent is Hosting but not if the parent is a reseller under the Hosting OU i.e.LDAP://has02.gms.uk.local/ou=gmsl7.com,ou=Hosting,DC=gms,DC=uk,DC=local'.

Tried everything Rollup 2 doesn't work, fresh AD server and PROV servers no effect.  CreateResellerOrganization does the same error as CreateIIWResellerOrganization. There is not much help on the Internet for this stuff so maybe it's time to call Microsoft PSS and pay for a support call.

 Just another thought, can you have resellers under resellers in HNC or is it just a flat model and you can only have Tentants under Resellers.

 

i.e.

 

Hosting
     Reseller1
          Reseller2
              Reseller3

HMC does not support "subresellers".

 Thanks Dimitri, are there any plug-in providers to enable this functionality so that we can create a reseller hierarchy or do we have to go down the road of some provisioning software such as ems-cortex or ensim?

I have just installed Rollup 2 for HMC 4.5 and CreateIIWResellerOrganization web service is now broken and CreateIIWResellerOrganizationResponse contains no data. The request however succeeds. CreateResellerOrganization works fine.

arrghhhh........

does anyone have any ideas please?
