Hello Everyone.

 I was reading a post in the past that recommended updating the AJAX framework to AjaxControlToolkit-Framework3.5

I am running vs2005 pro and vs2008 pro. At times I prefer to use vs2005 with the AJAX Toolkit 1.0 only.

I do have the AJAX Toolkit 1.0 installed with controls available and working in my vs2008 enviroment.

If I install AjaxControlToolkit-Framework3.5 on my system and remove the AJAX Toolkit 1.0 from my vs2008 environment will it affect my vs2005 AJAX Toolkit 1.0 environment ?

Getting to the point, my fear is that I will "break" my current vs2005 setup if I install the AjaxControlToolkit-Framework3.5.

I have run into upgrade issues in the past that were painful and time consuming to correct (sql server express for one). I am trying to tread with with caution on this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

As long as you are using the correct version in web.config file and in bin folder , you should be safe.

Keep in mind that  AjaxControlToolkit-Framework3.5 needs .NET 3.5 and so your VS 2008 project/website must be configured to use .NET 3.5.
