I have seen a nice feature on the sky sports site...http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11095_4458027,00.html when you click on the image you get a nice modal popup version of the image.  My screen resolution is very high and i get a large image (800 by 600) within the popup but if i decrease my scren res to say 800 by 600 i get the same modal popup and same image but both are resized to account for the small screen res and still fit perfectly on my screen.

Does anyone know how this is done?

Also I noticed that when mouse over the image on the main page you get a nice magnify icon, not standard, anyone know how that is achieved?

    Hi TheFIsh

It is done by a popular technique named as ”Lightboxes” or “Galleries”.

You might try to check the following blog article, which collect 56 that kind of controls:

    Thanks.

thanks lance, i will look into that link, I had thought this would have been achievabale using a mixture of AJAX components, namely modal popups, update progress, animation and ResizableControl?
