I have VS2005 and Ajax extender controls installed on my pc and everything is working ok. Now I need to install the Ajax control toolkit to get the rest of the controls. My problem is I cannot find the download for this. When I went to www.codeplex.com the latest version they have is for framework3.5. I only have .net framework 2.0 installed and I am not interested in upgrading it. Could some one point me to the correct location where I could download the tool kit for framework 2.0 with some installation info?

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

This confused me a couple of times as well, but if you look closely, there is a sentence on the ASP.NET AJAX website that says: In order to incorporate ASP.NET AJAX features in ASP.NET 2.0, refer to this page for the ASP.NET AJAX Extensions 1.0 release and other downloads, or upgrade to ASP.NET 3.5 SP1.

And that this page link goes here:

    http://www.asp.net/ajax/downloads/archive/

Thanks for the reply. I was able to download and install the conponents. Now when I creatre a new web site using the template, it takes away all the controls in my toolbox and the toolbox is now empty. I tried adding them but nothing happened. Not sure what to do.

What controls does it apparently take away? It should not take away the standard ASP.NET webcontrols. If you want the other ASP.NET AJAX control extenders (like ModalPopupExtender, CalendarExtender etc), then you'll have to create a section in your toolbox and add the controls from the AJAXControlToolkit.DLL.
