Hi all,

Can any body send me the tutorial to learn how to add the user name and password using asp.net configuration. I tried to open the security page but it is showing some error like

There is a problem with your selected data store. This can be caused by an invalid server name or credentials, or by insufficient permission. It can also be caused by the role manager feature not being enabled. Click the button below to be redirected to a page where you can choose a new data store.

The following message may help in diagnosing the problem: Failed to generate a user instance of SQL Server due to a failure in starting the process for the user instance. The connection will be closed.

Can any body tell me how to rectify the above error.

Hi do this tio get rid of this error  

Restart PC  

Log in as Administrator to windows

Delete the SQLEXPRESS directory from this location

C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server Data\SQLEXPRESS

Restart the PC

It will hopeully solve your problem

Best way is to reload SQL Server User Setting as stated avove
