I installed the service pack for ajax 3.5, but in the toolbox for the UpdatePanel for example, it still says the version is 3.5.0.0. Is there something I need to do to get the controls in the toolbox updated?

I removed the old dll reference and added this one to my references.

Your version number is correct.  It was 3.5.0.0 in pre-sp1 as well as after sp1.  (I'm confused about this too, but it certainly is nice not to have to upgrade all of our config files).

The only weirdness I found in the non-version change is that some of the sp1 features used to be in the ASP.NET Extensions December CTP, where the version number was 3.6.0.0 -- so if you were using any of those features, the version has actually regressed.

I think you are good to go.

Thanks James. One good thing about the upgrade for me is that I opened the solution and recompiled so that when I debug code that uses AJAX it only steps through my code. That was a big pain in the butt having it step through the AJAX code too. This is a lot quicker.
