I think this has been discussed before. If it has, I would like to know the status of this, if not, it would be nice to have something like this.

This is what I am talking about. It would be nice to see the status of a thread when I am inside of thread. With small threads, it is not a problem as I can scroll down and see if any of the posts were marked as answer, but for some long running threads, it's a pain to go thru each page just to find out that the thread was not resolved in the end.

If we have a notifier at the top of each thread whether it was resolved or not, it would be great.

nm i am not fully awake yet. I do think that one of the post will be marked with a green question mark. 

In the general list of threads and next to the thread name you will find a Red question mark if it was not resolved and a greece correct sign if it was resolved. From there, you can know if the thread was resolved or no before navigating to each page.

Yup, I know all that. Think of this situation, I landed on a thread directly from a search result of some sort, now there is no way to go back to the thread list exactly where that thread is located to view its status.

If you have used MS forums like for Windows Programming, all the threads have their status inside the thread also. I would think for these forums, the developers already have the status available, why not put an icon inside the thread also.

Even I think you are not. I have mentioned that in my original post that I can view the answers by scrolling down but what I am talking about is the overall status of the thread.

I didnt think about it in this way, well it makes sence to show the thread's flag.

Sounds like a great idea.  Perhaps a Green checkbox up to the left or right of the thread title that appears in the threads header box. That way, the thread status will appear on every page of a multi page thread.
