    Hello,
We have a dedicated server but a "SHARED" MS SQL db.

However we are looking inhouse to install MS SQL 2008 Express edition on the server and use it to hold a few tables that hold millions of records and we need to configure extended SP to work with these records. And configure some admin permissions which we cant do on the shared db.

Its our first time using the EXPRESS EDITION to manage data.

    - Has anyone got experience in using this ?

    - I have been searching MS website for its capability in the amount of records it can hold and how scalable it its.

But cant seem to find it.

    Any advice on this ?

Like SQL 2005 Express Edition, it can hold up to 4GB of data, there's no limit in the amount of records (as far as I know). Other Limitations of the SQL Express Editions:

Only 1 GB of RAM Usage, Max 1 CPU/Server

For more information, see the DataSheet
