I had a bit of a problem with my comp (the cpu fan stopped working, cpu overheated and shutted it self down in succesfull attemp of selfperservation), with the problem fixed I started working in VS200 again, and did not notice any problems until I tried to create new web site, when I discovered that there are no preinstlled templates, I tried some of the suggestions from this very forum but it just didn't work

I have found that if I use the Visual Studio's General Developers settings I do not have any website templates.  I would go to the tools menu --> Import Export settings  and follow the wizard to reset the ide settings I would choose a VB or C# template

 Nope, didn't work for me. Everythig stays the same.

I just had this happen after installing Silverlight 2.  I got all of the templates back by deleting c:\program files\microsoft visual studio 9.0\common7\ide\projecttemplatescache and regenerating them with devenv.exe /installvstemplates.  The old ones came back and the new ones (silverlight, VS 2008 SP1) were still there.
