I am looking for a free asp.net hosting so I can test my application and even provide my students with decent free asp.net hosting to test their projects and skills.

I need database (mdf) access as well...

until now I didn't find any useable free host, does it even exist for ASP.NET?

coming from PHP and stil not a .NET-fan ;)

    You could try http://qsh.eu/us/Web-Hosting/ASP-NET-Hosting.aspx?show=free

I have never used them, would be interested in how you get on.

    Good luck

Wouldn't this be a function of your school?  And for testing, setting up VS/VWD on their system works fine, or IIS on their workstation.

The freehosting is for 6months and can just renew it after I think the first three month.

I have seen no reports of them deleting files, I was told it was good for testing sites out.

    Hi jorre,

For safety and privacy reason, I still believe that you better pay a small amount of hosting fee to a paid provider and you can be rest assured that your hosting account does not come with nasty banners and ads. If you just want to test your application on ASP.NET, why don't you just spend about $5/month? It is equivalent to less than 50 cents a day. What can you buy with 50 cents nowadays? What can you buy with $5/month now?

For ASP.NET Hosting Solutions, you may refer to ASPHostCentral. Hope this helps.....

x10hosting.com - it look like unix host not windows host , so why you post it here ? it as asp.net forum...

for 2.95/m you can have developer plan at crystaltech.com - it is design for testing .net support  +sql db
