i've already seen these articles, the thing what i am saying is "though i've installed webdeploymentsetup and all the files and folders (mentioned above and in the msdn article) are present in program files, yet "Add web deployment Project" menu is not appeared in visual studio 2005, i mean the thing which is mentioned in these articles that there would be the 3rd item in the context menu (build menu or on right click), there is no such thing present!!!!! why is it so???

    Answer

    Hi,

To better understand your issue, please confirm the following information:

    • What version of Visual Studio are you using? Web Deployment Project is not supported in Visual Web Developer Express Edition. You can refer to http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/asp.net/aa336619.aspx for more information about supported OS and products.
    • You also can try to uninstall WDP (through Add/Remove Programs) and reinstall it. Please make sure that you install the correct version for your Visual Studio 2005. You can download Visual Studio 2005 Web Deployment Projects from link above.

    I hope this helps.
